The history of New Brunswick is tied to the story of it’s forest industries and the people and places that have shaped our connection to the woods. We are proud of our accomplishments, our entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance in the face of global competition. Our legacy is one of managing our public and private forests for the betterment of New Brunswick today and for future generations. Our products are best in class and our people skilled and committed. We take our responsibility to manage public lands seriously and we know that New Brunswickers are counting on us to provide jobs to support communities, generate revenues for public services and provide sustainable management of forests. As employees and employers we take care of the forest so that it will take care of us.
In my role as Chairman of Forest NB I hope to continue the work of past chairpersons as part of a group of dedicated and committed industry leaders in rebuilding pride in New Brunswick. Our association is built on the pillars of Prosperity, Renewal and Relationships and I hope your participation in our 2016 meeting will move you to be part of the Forest NB community and move our province forward.
Glen Warman, Vice President Wood Procurement Marwood Ltd., Incoming Chairman, Forest, NB.
